Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rice preferably Arborio or jasmine for creaminess
  • 1 ½ cups broth or water
  • ½ cup milk or almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup shredded cheese cheddar or parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the Rice: Start by rinsing the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove any excess starch.
  • Add Ingredients: In a rice cooker, combine the rice, broth, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together, ensuring the rice is fully submerged.
  • Cook the Rice: Close the rice cooker lid and set it to the regular cooking setting. Let it cook until it automatically switches to the warm setting.
  • Add the Cheese: When cooked, open the lid and quickly stir in the shredded cheese. Close the lid again and let it sit for a minute, allowing the cheese to melt.
  • Serve: Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm. Adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed. Add garnish and extra grated cheese.

Notes

If you want extra richness stir in an extra tablespoon of butter when cooked. Garnish with chopped parsley or chives.
