Creamy Brazilian Limeade

A creamy and refreshing limeade made in the blender with fresh limes, sugar, and sweetened condensed milk. A summer favorite!

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Fine Mesh Strainer
  • Tall serving glasses
  • Long-handled spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 4 fresh limes thin-skinned if possible
  • 3 cups cold water
  • ΒΌ cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups ice
  • Extra lime slices and mint for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash limes thoroughly and cut into quarters (peel stays on).
  • Place limes, sugar, water, and ice in a blender.
  • Blend on high for about 30 seconds just enough to release juice and flavor, but not so long the rind turns bitter.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.
  • Stir in sweetened condensed milk.
  • Serve over ice garnish with mint leaves and lime slices.

Notes

  • Use immediately after blending and straining for best flavor
  • Adjust sweetness to taste depending on lime tartness
  • Great served with grilled or spicy foods
