maple buttercream frosting

Instructions
Preheat the oven to the temperature listed on your cupcake mix box. Line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
Make the batter according to the box instructions. Then stir in the maple syrup and brown sugar until evenly combined.
Fill the cupcake liners 2/3 full with the batter and bake as directed (usually 18–22 minutes). Let cupcakes cool completely.
Frost the cooled cupcakes with maple buttercream frosting.
Top with crumbled bacon just before serving.
Notes
Use real maple syrup for best flavor. Top with bacon right before serving to keep it crispy.
