PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup diced water chestnuts
  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • Butter lettuce leaves
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions
 

  • Sauté the Aromatics: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
  • Brown the Chicken: Add ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  • Add the Sauce: Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Add Crunch: Stir in diced water chestnuts and cook 1 more minute. Remove from heat and top with sliced green onions.
  • Serve: Scoop the chicken mixture into crisp lettuce leaves and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make extra sauce it’s great drizzled on top or used for dipping.
  • Works with chicken, turkey, or plant-based crumbles.
