PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps

- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 small onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1/2 cup diced water chestnuts
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
- Butter lettuce leaves
- 2 green onions sliced
Sauté the Aromatics: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
Brown the Chicken: Add ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Add the Sauce: Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
Add Crunch: Stir in diced water chestnuts and cook 1 more minute. Remove from heat and top with sliced green onions.
Serve: Scoop the chicken mixture into crisp lettuce leaves and serve warm.
