A warm and gooey skillet chocolate chip cookie baked in a cast iron skillet with crispy edges, soft center, and topped with vanilla ice cream.

- ½ cup unsalted butter melted
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Vanilla ice cream for serving
Preheat the Pizza Oven: Ensure your pizza oven is heated to 350°F (175°C).
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold the chocolate chips into the dough.
Prepare the Skillet: Grease an 8-inch cast iron skillet and press the cookie dough evenly into the skillet.
Bake: Place the skillet in the preheated pizza oven and bake for about 18 minutes, or until the edges are crisp and the center is just set.
Cool and Serve: Allow the cookie to cool for 5 minutes. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and serve warm.
