Lodge traditional cast-iron Dutch ovens, unlike the camp Dutch ovens, do not have legs built into the casting.

This means that this particular Dutch oven can be used in a kitchen environment as well as in hot coals. Alternatively, if there is a wire bail attached to the oven, you can hang the Dutch oven over the hot coals or flames.
