Definition of Made in the USA

100% Made in the USA – made from materials sourced in the USA. Manufacturing and assembly are carried out in the USA.

Made in the USA – made from globally and/or locally sourced materials. Manufacturing, and/or assembly are carried out in the USA.

How to Find Out Where Tramontina Cookware is Made

Finding the location of a product’s manufacturing can be challenging. But it is not impossible! Below are a few tips to help you locate the exact factory where a given item was made.

1. Start With the Company Website

Larger companies will list their locations on their corporate websites. Many specialized manufacturers make this information publicly available within their product listings. The above Tramontina product listing for its Tri-Ply Clad Fry Pan clearly states that the cookware is made in Brazil.

2. Labels and Tags

Tramontina Packaging – Made in Brazil

Look for locally-made labels or tags on the product itself or on its packaging. Such as in Italy, France, the United States, Canada, Mexico, etc. This may make it easier to find out where a product was made based on its country of origin.

3. Embossing or Company Logo

Tramontina Logo Made in Bazil

Many manufacturers choose to list where the product was made directly onto the item itself.

4. Contact the Company Directly

If you are unable to determine the origin of a given item through any other means, contacting the company’s customer service team may yield more information.

They should be able to tell you exactly where the product was made, and may even be able to give you a direct link to that information on their website.

Contact Information Tramontina

The best way to reach Tramontina is by emailing them. Below are the contact details for email and direct mail.

5. Awards and Certifications

Check for local certifications or awards on the product itself. Just as many manufacturers choose to denote where their products were made, others may opt to highlight other kinds of company achievements.

For example environmental certification by an organization like Fair Trade USA or Green America. While these can be a bit harder to identify than simply looking for a “Made in” label, these can be good indications of where the product was made.

6. Contact the Manufacturer Directly

There are instances where you can not get information from the ‘Brand’ itself as there a 3rd party may manufacture the product.

If you are unable to determine the country of origin of a given item through any other means, contacting the company’s customer service team and asking for the manufacturer’s contact details may yield more information.

The 3rd party should be able to tell you exactly where the product was made, and may even be able to give you a direct link to that information from their own website.
